Wet room and bathroom project, London

Again this project is indicative of what can be achieved when two spaces become one. Two dysfunctional rooms, one a toilet the other a small bathroom with a bath and a sink. We knocked them together to form one large family bathroom incorporating an old cast iron roll top bath, toilet sink and showering area. However the showering area was the one area tat required the most consideration. Due to where the door was situated in the room it was not possible (and the client was not keen either) to use a standard shower enclosure as this would not only encroach to much into the room, but would also not be in keeping with the design brief.
We suggested using a walk-in / wet room showering facility but with a pivoting glass screen that could be pushed back to the wall when not in use. This then formed the illusion that the room was in fact larger than it was while keeping the bath/shower functionality.
